How do I install and use Agency Agents?
Two ways: ① Desktop app (recommended): download the native macOS/Linux/Windows app from agencyagents.app, browse the roster, pick your tools and target agents, install with one click and keep them updated automatically; ② CLI: git clone the repo and run ./scripts/install.sh --tool claude-code (or cursor/codex/gemini-cli etc.) to install into the matching tool. Once installed, reference the agent by name in conversation, e.g. "Activate Frontend Developer mode and help me build a React component".
Is Agency Agents free? Is there an app?
Completely free and open source (MIT). Both the main repo and the app are fully open source. The app is a Tauri 2 native, local-first application for macOS 13+, Linux and Windows — no telemetry, no data collection. Community translations are available in Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Indonesian, Arabic, Korean, Vietnamese and more.
